Making the loss of a loved one ultra traumatic and taking sadistic pleasure therefrom.

Having lost my father in law as well as my grandmother in a space of 3 months I am assisting my mother in law to get the estates settled.

Having been appointed executor of both estates, by the Master of the High Court, my mother in law gave me written authority to settle the matters. This was cleared with the Master of the High Court as well.

There being 2 ABSA accounts for each of the deceased I proceeded to establish an"Estate Late Account" for each of the deceased. I approached the ABSA Branch in Ontdekkers Road, Horison, Roodepoort and they flatly refuse to close the now defunked account and transfer the money to the estate late accounts.

Initially they wanted R500 to open an Estate Late Account plus several other charges that they seem to want want to give money to the rightful owners thereof.

Firstly they claimed that the authority letter was not valid unless drawn up by an attorney. (this would cost more than what is in the accounts) and then when this was pointed out as not a legal requirement they then insisted that it is done in their presence or it is not a "valid agreement" according to the Branch Manager, Ms Ronel Kieve, and some other person Ms Ronel Myburgh. I find it an absolute disgrace on how ABSA handles their customers!!

Now that leaves a couple of options.

1. Sue ABSA and the its managers for ********ly refusing to hand money over to the rightful owners thereof.

2. Lay ******** charges against ABSA CEO, their managers and staff.

3. Just go and collect the money myself...

My advise to potencial and current customers of ABSA would be to carefully consider the above, your hardearned money might just disappear!!

Still no resolution from ABSA side.

They remain arrogant and still think that if they have your money they can do with it what they feel like.

Option 3 seems the only one left...
