Loyalty doesn't count

I requested a overdraft or loan but the reason why it was denied is pathetic. I'm banking for 15 years with Absa. Based on the fact that I am not a South African but started out on a work visa, I only have a Savings account. My income and all transactions went for the last 1,5 decades via Absa. By now I have a Permanent Residency Permit and only due to DHAs work backlog due to Covid I am not issued an ID yet. A request for a small loan (less than my monthly income) was denied because of my "temporary" residency. The original document of the Permanent (!) Residence was provided of course. Time to switch banks.
