long waiting period for correspondence

I honestly do not understand how it is possible for ABSA to take 10 workings days to issue paid up letter whereas other banks take a day to issue one.

I am extremely concerned by the lack of urgency in processing my paid-up letter. Today marks day 4.This delay is having serious consequences. My career and future opportunities are directly dependent on receiving this letter, and the continued delay is placing me in an untenable position. It is deeply frustrating that something as straightforward as issuing a paid-up letter is taking this long.I urgently request that this matter be escalated and finalised as a priority. I cannot afford any further delays.

Thank you for the response. However, I am concerned about the length of the process. I understand that each bank has its own procedures, but for comparison, FNB also granted a discount and issued the paid-up letter within one day.I would like to suggest that ABSA review and improve this process, as the current turnaround time is lengthy and could potentially result in clients moving to banks that are more efficient. In today’s environment, efficiency and turnaround time are critical to client retention.I trust that this feedback will be taken into consideration.
