Leaving absa

I write this review with so much disappointment. I have been a customer of absa from the time I worked for the bank. I have been a private banking customer who pays exorbitant fees but to this day I feel like I’ve wasted my time and money. Paying large bank fees for poor service and no returns. I’m applying for vehicle finance and they declined me saying though my credit score is very good (649) they can’t offer me finance as I’ve missed 5 debit orders. I explained that my credit report has no missed payments this year. The only time this happened was when I had resigned - I was getting paid on the 15th of each month and the company advised when you resign you get paid on the day of the month (this was out of my control). I informed all the companies I had accounts with to provide notice and they noted it without letting this affect my score or credit profile. I even paid those debit orders and have no outstanding accounts. I pay my debts on time and I’ve worked hard on my credit score so for a bank that I’ve been loyal to, telling me they can’t offer me anything surely means I need to leave absa and take my money and business elsewhere. Other banks are willing to offer me finance yet absa can’t. I’m very disappointed and can’t recommend absa to anyone cos of the awful treatment I’ve received. I will be leaving this bank.
