landing rate not disclosed

Hi,<br> In May 2014 i app**** for a personal loan at Absa bank in Killarney, I had an existing loan so I topped it up. on 20 February I called their call centre just to see how much I still owe them. To my surprise, the numbers were too high. The call centre agent said the interest rate showing on their system is 9.25 which is the prime but according to the numbers that she provided, they don't correspond. My understanding was that, i am paying a loan with a prime rate of 9.25 as it was not disclosed that i would be paying a higher rate. <br> <br> I have ever received a statement from Absa since the inception of the loan and when I was doing my calculations after I spoke to their call centre agent, they could be charging me anything above 22% on the loan which is absolutely ridiculous. This is day light ******* and this needs to be looked at and adjusted accordingly. <br> <br> Regards,<br> Babalwa
