*** SERVICE FROM ABSA HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE

I LOGGED A CLAIM WITH ABSA HOME OWNERS INSURANCE REF: CLAIM N0 *** ON 17 DEC 2014 AFTER EXPERIENCING HEAVY FLOODS /STORM IN MY AREA ON THE 11TH OF DECEMBER 2014. A CONTRACTOR WAS SENT OUT TO ASSESS THE DAMAGES AND TO DATE I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM ABSA INSURANCE OR THE CONTRACTOR WHILST THE CONDITION OF MY HOUSE CONTINUE TO DETERIORATE.<br> <br> I bought the house new in December 2006 and have been living in this house until now. There been a tremor in the area in the last few months and the severe floods in December 2014 has made the situation worse as there is now crack all over the house. There has been couple of cracks in the some of the rooms in the last few months for which I tried patching as I did not understand the underlying problems but the severe storms experienced in December last year have since made the situation worse due to the whole house being flooded (see the pictures attached) and this has caused some serious structural damage to my house as a result. The house can collapse at any moment which is why I logged the claim with the insurance explaining the urgency it required. This was also confirmed by the assessor contracted by the insurance.
