Just how long does it take to process a claim

I'm fairly annoyed with the turnaround time for a simple building insurance claim. It took ABSA and their appointed contractor nearly 3 months to determine if it is a valid claim. What happens in the event that I have extensive damage to my house and they decide to take in excess of 3 months to determine if it is a valid claim. I find this completely unacceptable. <br> <br> Just glad I have the option to cancel my insurance at any time. Goodbye ABSA...!
