It seems impossible to get ABSA to cancel a cession on an Old Mutual policy

I have spent literally hours phoning various numbers in ABSA to get a cession lifted off an Old Mutual policy. It dates back to 1998 and was for a car I bought 20 years ago. I have paid off numerous cars since then. As a Platinum client and a business client of ABSA I asked for assistance from my "relationship manager". I am still waiting.
