Is my money save with ABSA Bank

<p>I purchased event tickets from VIAGOGO on Saturday 24 June 2017 and paid from my check account that I have with ABSA Bank. I reversed the payment after I realized that I cannot afford the price that they charged me. ABSA Bank reversed the amount of R28 535.00 on Sunday 25 June 2017. On Tuesday 27 June 2017 at 19h45 VIAGOGO requested the same amount from my check account without my approval. However, this time ABSA release the funds without holding it in a pending account as normal practice dictates. According to ABSA, upon my request, the funds can no longer be reversed. This worries me as I get the impression that ABSA, despite it being a mistake on their part, will not refund me. Furthermore, it seems that anyone that has banking details of an ABSA Bank account holder can remove funds from that account without approval from the holder. I am expecting ABSA to reverse the money even if it is at their expense. What worries me, even more, is the fact that personnel at the ABSA Bank call center is not well informed about the processes and procedures, which very frustrating. </p>
