Irresponsible lending to students

Absa credit card department is ***** and difficult to deal with. So my brother was a 21 year old full time student, who was approached by absa and offered a credit card account to "help him build up a credit record" but they gave him R7500.00 credit. A student who had never worked before! with little pocket money for transport to school and lunch. When he unfortunately passed away we found out that he had this credit card account with ABSA and that he owed them R7500.00. So it's been an uphill battle trying to find out how they offered him so much credit in the first place, without enforcing credit life on the account nogal. We gone to branch and emailed *** *** *** we just cant get this information. We provided certified copies of Death Certificate, ID, Letter from court.. all sort of information we still can't get help. So our mission now is to make people aware of this debt trap that absa is laying against these students.
