Investment account

I went to ABSA Clearwater mall to open investment account with them. I was welcomed by a lady (name withheld)who told me that she is working for ABSA. I told her the reason for my visit and we went to her office at first floor. We then started with the investment process and in between I signed the contract (document) I was under the impression that I'm investing with ABSA and I was cool with that.Five months down the line I had a serious problems and I went to ABSA Clearwater, that's when I was told that they don't have anything (profile) with ABSA. Preliminary investigation revealed that I actually invested with Outvest not ABSA and there is no way that I can get my money to be dis invested from Outvest and invest with Absa. My complaint was escalated to the manager ( name withheld) who was not helpful at all, not replying to calls or emails. This matter was further allocated to the investigator who also told me that she needs six weeks to finalise her investigation and that will be 4th January 2024. So the long and the short is that I was made to invest with the company I didn't want or know and that there is nothing I can do. Please be vigilant when opening investment account at ABSA Clearwater mall. Kind regards
