Internet banking locked due to FICA

My internet banking account was locked without warning because I have to submit proof of residence according to FICA regulation.
Firstly ABSA bank gave no indication upfront that they were going to lock my account which left me stranded when I had to pay my bills and suppliers.
Secondly when I went to the ABSA Life Style branch to submit my Telkom bill to rectify the situation the lady at customer services told me that ABSA bank requires the Telkom e-mail to which my Telkom bill is attached before they can unlock my internet banking service. According to the lady neither the electronic bill generated by the Telkom web service nor the Telkom bill sent by mail will be acceptable documentation to unlock my internet banking account.
I cannot supply the Telkom e-mail to which my Telkom bill was attached therefore I am stuck - I cannot pay my suppliers on time.
This is an unacceptable situation which could have been avoided. I am extremely disappointed with ABSA, their service and the way they treated me.
