Interest still charged despite 0% court order under debt review
I went into Debt review last year. In March 2021 the court order was granted for my debt review and the court ordered that the interest rates on all my accounts be dropped to 0%. Despite this, Absa has continued charging interest on 3 of my credit cards every month. I’ve raised it with my debt counselor who has raised it repeatedly with Absa, and yet every month, the interest charges keep getting added to my account. This is a direct contravention of the court order. I am at my wits end

15 Dec 2021, 07:38Good Day Lebogang, this issue is still not resolved. Absa continues to charge close to R10,000 in interest to all my cards every month, when I should be paying 0% interest. This has dragged on the WHOLE year. Why hasn’t it been resolved?
