Insurance Not Paying Out

We build a house, 1 year ago. Our home loan and insurance is with ABSA. We recently saw that we have a rising damp problem through the whole house. ABSA send a person out the report on this and the person who wrote a report on the problem said (and ABSA has this report since you read it to me over the phone) that the house level on this inside, is under the outside ground level and because of that we have this water problem in the house.
According to my knowledge, ABSA did regular inspections during the building process of my house and was happy with everything. Me not having all the knowledge regarding building has to trust ABSA to show me stuff during the building process that is not correct. I feel that if this is the case that ABSA needed to pick this up. Who needs to take responsibility of rising damp in a house that is 1 year old? Surely not the owner?

ABSA has just rejected all my efforts to claim or help me. I have been an ABSA client from that very beginning of ABSA and feel that they need to help within this regard.

I hope to get some good news from them soon.
