Insurance issues
<p>We experienced the worst nightmare any home owner could possibly face. a Fire in our 20 year old home. </p> <p>We called ABSA who promtly sent a DRM consultant for estimation/survey of damage. Two contractors came and contract was awared to ORIZON maintenance. The contractor tried to do a rush job. We stopped the job and asked DRM for revisit the site. DRM concluded that wrong work practices was used and I refused to allow ORIZON back on site and asked for new contractor. Incident happened around 29/07/15. I have since(22/7/16) received an offer of R56521.81 . a Totally unbiased qoute from an independant estimated the damage in R120 000.00 range.</p>

15 Jan 2017, 13:42Sorry to say this, but its already mid January. No contact by ABSA, I can supply the needed email convesations to help with this investigation. As family we have waited long enough, this issue will be given to Ombudsman by the end of this month. I should have done this a long time ago. Waiting for ABSA is over.
