Insurance Claim Ref Number ***

Had a problem with my guttering and contacted Absa Claim Division on or about the end of June 2017. On the 4 July 2017 I received notification that company Round & Square Bldgs. T/A Insrep would be contacting me. Heard nothing from them and when phoning got voice mail. Sent e-mail to Absa on 17 July and received an acknowledgement e-mail at 19:17 of the same day advising that the mail was sent to the wrong address but that they'd forward it on to the correct Section on my behalf. LAST I HEARD OF THIS. Followed up on the 20 August and received an acknowledgement of receipt email on this date advising that a consultant would be contacting me. Or I could phone the claims number should I so wish. Which I didn't want to do, and still do not. LAST I HEARD OF THIS. Further follow up email sent on 6 September and acknowledgement of receipt of this message sent to me at 13:59 on the same day. This too said that a consultant would be in touch but that I could phone the claims number should I wish to do so. Which I didn't. LAST I HEARD OF THIS. Because of the situation and not having any contact, other than that mentioned above, I went and had the guttering repaired at my own cost. (This is mentioned in the later emails mentioned above). Included in the emails above were quotes and receipts of payment made for the repairs as well as photos of the damaged gutter both before and after the repairs had been done. I fail to see what more I have to do in order to resolve this matter. I am now waiting for Absa to refund me their share of the cost of the guttering. I trust that this problem of mine will finally come to some conclusion? It's already been over three months since the claim was lodged. Edwin Ross

Right so you've rep****. About a week ago I received a phone call from Seponiti Chokoe. I wasn't home at the time but he mentioned that some company would be contacting me regarding their coming to carry out the repairs. DO YOU PEOPLE NOT ACTUALLY READ WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE TO YOU? Gutters have already been repaired at my expense and I'm waiting for you to refund me whatever your share is going to be. Anyway Seponiti requested I forward copies of my previous emails to him. On the third of October I sent him an email containing previous correspondence regarding this matter. AS HE REQUESTED. I have had no further response from him or anyone else at Absa. Earlier today I once again sent him an email requesting acknowledgement that he's received my emails. To date nothing has been forthcoming. Please don't tell me that he hasn't received these two messages of mine as they were sent to the same email address that was attached to his message to me. All I can say is that this, I hesitate to call it service because it is so far away from that, of yours is absolutely pathetic. At the moment I am thinking of taking all my correspondence and approaching the small claims court in order to reach some finality in this matter. WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT THIS? Please just let me know what's happening.
