Insurance claim not honoured

<p>I happen to have been hit by that bad hail storn 2 or 3 years back which damaged my roof and broke windows etc in Edenvale. Absa sent out their fixer upper and they repaired the roof and cemented some holes closed and replaced some tiles etc. ANyway they did not fix all the tiles properly and their was a continuos dripping onto my ceiling in my lounge and ceiling. I decided to go up into the ceiling (on my own, do not have a partner or husband to help) one rainy evening and at least put some plastic down where the one leak was (which I thought was the only leak), and landed nearly falling through the soaked up celing, non the less I put the plastic down and then got a friend of mine to fix the whole in the ceiling... my fault for not actually calling out ABsa again. but non the less there was still the dripping but I had no idea where it was until about 4 weeks ago when we had that bad rain storm and it finaly came through the ceiling. Unknown to me dripped the entire night and the following morning there was water everywhere. I called out Absa insurance and they have rejected my claim saying that it was wear and tear???? I"I should have checked the roof was fixed properly" (just by the way I'm over 50 and as I have had a bad experience once before wasnt going to chance going up to the ceiling again on my own ever again...I'm appauled to have to think that my bond has been with Absa for years and I think once previous claim on a geyser burstj and they refuse to see that this was not wear and tear but a job not well done the first time around....WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? ABSA has not come to the party at all and I cant seem to fight my case with them because they just wont listen.....</p>
