Insurance claim handled very ***********ly

Hi,I had an incident last year November where we had the storms. Unfortunately I had a lot of damages because of the heavy storms My home insurance is with Absa Bank.We've been with Absa for 21years and never claimed.We claimed for 2 trees and a wall that fell over.the claim was paid out.A week later another tree fell over and it landed on the pool.In the meanwhile my husband was running the motor to clean the pool.unfortunately the pump also gave in.We claimed for the pump. An accessor came out.The end result was that they can't pay the claim out ,because it falls under wear and tare.I was told to complete another form,which I feel it's just wasting my time.I had to go buy a new motor ànd install it myself.In the process the bricks on the pool also got damaged ànd my husband don't wanted to claim for it ,because of all the up and downs.Hope you would be able to assist in the matter.
