Insurance and debit order without consent *****

My wife has a vehicle financed with absa which was bought and financed on the 4th of August 2017 now almost 2 years later on the 31st of may 2019 I noticed that her debit order was suddenly almost R1800 more, after her contacting the bank this morning the 3d of June 2019 she was told that it is an insurance policy because she failed to produce a policy schedule when requested however we have never been requested or notified of any such thing, her phone number has not changed in the last 5 years how come absa did not even try to contact her. Furthermore how is it possible that absa can debit her account without her consent??? I also understand that it is ******* to have two policies on the same vehicle so to a certain degree absa has now made her a ******** seeing as we have had full comprehensive insurance on the vehicle since day one. We did not receive a single letter or email or sms or phone call to request a policy schedule nor any quotation for insurance nor any form to consent to a debit order or insurance policy, and absa going ahead and debiting her account for a policy that was never discussed with her is *****. I expect answers from absa because I will not except this and I will take this matter further. I find it revolting that a company/ bank like absa can even try to get away with ********** activity like this, it is not just about the R1800 but more about how ******** a bank like absa conducts themselves and think they can get away with it just by refunding the moneys deducted not that anything has been refunded as yet.
