Incosiderably reducing Credit Limit without notice

Hello Peter. I've had a Credit Card with Absa for more than 5 years, today I got an SMS telling me that my credit limit has been reduced with R4410.00, the available amount which was left to pay necessities such as rent and vehicle has been taken and I have no money to cover these expenses. I called Absa and they say there's nothing they can do because of a clause in the credit agreement signed more than 6 years ago. How inconsiderate can a bank be? In this day and age, how can they expect a customer to just lose R4000.00 at once? This is total disregard and inconsiderate conduct by Absa Credit Card Department/system towards customer needs and means of living. My credit card is paid up to date and paid monthly. I am in total distress because I have to pay my rent and vehicle but I can't because of this. And to get a response such as \there's nothing we can do"is totally inhumane and inconsiderate towards customer service and loyalty. What kind of a bank does this? How can they be so inconsiderate? I need the money to pay my living expenses/necessities! Absa must reverse this transaction with immediate effect. Please assist!"""
