Incorrectly handed over to third party

Good Day, I’ve received numerous sms’s from MBD on behalf of Absa Personal Loan division,I am being told that my account is in arrears with R4744.49 and really find it strange that my account is alleged to be in arrears with R4744. 49 instead of R1044. 49. I have been paying R250. 00 extra from 25/07 to 25/10 as a result the account was supposed to be R1000. 00 in advance instead Absa chose to capitalise the advance amount without notifying me.

R4744. 49 was reversed by myself on the 25th of October as that was not the amount the bank was supposed to debit. I have since paid R2700. 00 on even date.

The bank should decapitalise R3700. 00 so that the account can reflect the correct arrears amount i. e R1044. 49.I have sent through emails to MBD to have this resolved but nothing has been done instead they keep on telling me that the matter has been escalated to the bank. The bank was too quick to hand over the account without doing a thorough investigation on their side and this is negatively affecting my profile. To my surprise I have never received any letter nor phone call from the bank informing me that they are handing over the account. 1.Why wasn’t I informed about possibilities of the account being handed over to third party for collection? 2.Who is going to pay for the collection fees as the account was not supposed to be handed over in the place? 3.WHY DIDN’T THE BANK PHONE ME TO FIND OUT WHY THE ACCOUNT IS IN “ARREARS” BEFORE HANDING OVER THE ACCOUNT? I am really disappointed with the bank, they just never cease to prove their incompetence to consumers.
