Incorrect Listing and Getting SMS's on another clients account

How much more frustrating can it get. How does a bank list you for you an adverse for an account that you never even had a card on. You then apply for a personal loan or a credit card with another financial institution to help during a difficult time and it gets declined immediately for an incorrect listing that was made. Because you are not able to get assistance you use what you have and then decisions like "is my bill" more important than someone that needs to get an operation. You then decide to pay the medical stuff instead of your existing bills and fall behind and as soon as you can you pay it back. Would I have been in this situation in the first place if the listing was not against my name? No coz another financial institution would've been able to assist me if there was no listing.

I open a new account and then ask to be registered for Notify Me and all of a sudden I get messages of purchases on another clients account. What security checks / measures do you have in place to allow something like that to happen. I have waisted my time with Action Line from the 3rd of October and will now make this known and publish it everywhere I can.
