Incorrect Information on Credit Report

Dear Hello Peter Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue regarding the inaccurate information that Absa Bank has reported to the credit bureaus concerning my loan payments.

Despite my consistent efforts to rectify this situation, Absa Bank continues to report incorrect details to the credit bureaus, severely affecting my credit score and financial reputation. Here are the key points of concern:

First Loan: I paid off my first personal loan in full in October 2023. However, Absa Bank has not updated this information with the credit bureaus, which incorrectly suggests that I am still indebted.

Second Loan: I am currently making monthly payments of 10,023 ZAR on my second loan. However, the credit bureau reports only 2,000 ZAR, which is grossly inaccurate and misrepresents my financial responsibility.

Impact on Credit Score: These inaccuracies have resulted in a significantly lower credit score, impacting my ability to secure financial services and opportunities.

Absa's Response: Despite my attempts to resolve this directly with Absa Bank, the misinformation persists, and there has been no corrective action taken.

I am deeply aggrieved by Absa Bank's negligence and the resulting damage to my creditworthiness. It is unacceptable that hard-working clients like myself are subjected to such misreporting, which undermines our financial integrity.

I kindly request your urgent assistance in facilitating the correction of this erroneous information on my credit report. Attached to this email are copies of relevant documentation, including proof of payments and correspondence with Absa Bank, substantiating my claims.

Please advise on the steps I should take to ensure prompt resolution of this matter. I appreciate your immediate attention to this issue and look forward to your prompt response.

Thank you for your assistance.
