Inconsiderate Bank

I complained a few months back about having a cheque account that accumulated so many fees due to unpaid debit orders. I explained to the bank that I had been retrenched and have no income, however they continue to accumulate charges. When I opened my student cheque account, all these fees weren't explained to me and years later, retrenched and unable to even pay my debit orders I'm sitting with R4600 to pay for charges. I can't even close the account because I have to pay for this. What am I expected to do?

I have opened a small savings account but what about the debit orders I have to pay. It means I have to work to pay ABSA who will continue to charge. This is really unfair and painful. Once I get a lump sum, I will give Absa their money and close this account!
