*********** staff blame system....

I app**** for a Platinum Cheque Account facility online and via callcentre from 15th May 2017. I forwarded all supporting documents to several departments to ensure receipt same day. The online system approved overdraft of R40,000.00, and the callcentre verified the approval. the consultant who was dealing with the matter failed the application due to insufficient funds. She said problem was on payslip, which I rectified with my HR. I had to tell her to do a cross comparison with payslip and bank statement to confirm salary, she acknowledged error then advised to re-apply the following day. Take note all my supporting documents are with ABSA, hence call advising declined.

On 16th May 2017 I called into callcentre asking to re-apply, consultant advised no need to will just forward to credit to re-score. They have all my doucments on hand.

On 17th May 2017, another consultant calls on my mobile asking for my supporting documents. I provided the reference number, he confirmed the documents are with ABSA. He said will revert back to me before close of business or latest following day.

On 18th May, I called into callcentre, I get put on hold for 30 minutes, when they "return", they simply ask for supporting documents, then I inform them it has been forward, they check and then confirm once again, yes it is with ABSA.

19th May 2017, I await my promised call from 17th May 2017, at 10:00am I call in, they advise wait for "Wayne" to call you before end of business today. At 16:10pm I call in for answers, "Wayne is not in, left early for the day. I speak to another guy who says nothing on system. He too asks for supporting documents, again I explain it has been forwarded, he now got no answers, calls another "Wayne" who was not the guy I spoke too, repeated the same after he asked, supporting documents sent already, was told to wait for feedback by end of business.

Now I am not sure how many 'Wayne's" work in cheque account department, my concern is the system does not allow the different consultants to put notes so as to assist a client if the person is "missing or off". If 'Wayne" does not return on Monday or gets offered another job, does that department also forget about my requests because only he can assist. Is ABSA going to close its doors when "Wayne's" are out!!!

My credit card is being delivered next week by CCD couriers next week, from ABSA, confirmation and availibility confirmed, so how do they not have my supporting doucments on their system or the designated inbox I sent it to for the platinum card. Yes they are two different depts. that is why I sent it to both and all.

Today is the 19th May, no supporting documents but on the 15th May 2017, "yes sir, we do have all your supporting documents, thank you, we will now proceed to process application"

'Today, tomorrow, together" well looks like I am going to wait forever at this rate because today was a result of yesterday of the previous two days, so can imagine the tomorrow outcome!!!!!!
