I am a fellow student who followed all the right procedures to pay may registration fees at ABSA Bank Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein. I have been helped by Mrs Mamickie Mohapi and was so disappointed when I was confronted with such unprofessional service. She paid the money into an account and as *********** as she was, she used my student number as the reference and as the account number, knowing that an account number can't be such a short number. I explained to her the manner in which the university wants the reference to be in. As I was explaining that she must put in my student number with another number following, she took my phone which stated the procedures that the university required when paying student fees, she threw my phone on the table and told me that she will not follow the university's procedures, because it is not a deposit slip but an EFT. On the procedures of payment, it stated very clearly that all payments must be made accordingly to this method. The conclusion is that she did not listen to me as a customer and was very arrogant towards me. Thanks to Mrs Mohapi, the payment was unsuccessful, because she wanted to pay the amount into my student number instead of paying it into the university's account. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days for the money to be paid back into my account and there will be bank charges I will have to pay, THANKS to her incompetence, arrogance and unprofessional manner of helping me!!! It is a bank fault since it is caused by an employee of ABSA Bank. I wish to hear soon from them and to be refunded with immediate effect, so that I could register at my university.
