*********** Loss Adjuster

On 25 July 2016 I had a breaking at my house and certain of my personal belongings were ******. On 27 July 2016 I registered an online claim with Absa I Direct insurance. On 29 July 2016 I phoned them and they informed me that they didn’t receive the online claim. On 29 July 2016 I registered a telephonic claim with Absa I Direct Insurance. By 03 August I still didn’t receive any information about may claim or who is the appointed loss adjuster. I phoned Absa I direct and they said that a lady by the name of Sayeed Zeenath is responsible to investigate my claim. I phoned Sayeed and she said that she had family problems and will only be attending to my claim the following week. I emailed all the relevant documentation to her office regarding the ****** items. She then visited my premises for an inspection and without prior warning now wanted the original documentation which was at my office. I had to drive to her office to give her the original documents and was even instructed to get the police statement for her. Seems like she wasn’t really interested in doing anything from her side. Sayeed then said that she had all the documentation and that she will now submit my claim for approval and that she has everything she needs. On Wednesday the 31st of August 2016t I phoned Sayeed to find out what is going on with my claim. She said that she will phone me back. On receiving her call it was clear that this was the first time she really studied my documents as she had a lot of questions although she promised previously that she was ready to submit my documents for a decision. Now suddenly she alleged that I was submitting a false claim by submitting documentation for a more expensive laptop that a less expensive laptop was ****** although she doesn’t have any proof to substantiate this allegation and I have all the documents to prove this. This claim is now outstanding for more than a month and I am still waiting for Absa I Direct Insurance to give me answers. I see Sayeed's allegations as a serious deformation of my character as she is now alleging that I am committing *****. This is a disgrace and unacceptable conduct for which I hope her employer will take serious action. So much for Absa I Direct. I will definitely be returning to Outsurance.
