***********, disorganised, and dishonouring of its promises to clients

*********** and clueless! I wish I could give ABSA zero stars. I am now beyond angry. In April I app**** for the widely-advertised Covid Lockdown loan relief offer, which offered 3 months payment relief. I was approved telephonically and in writing, and was informed of my payment resumption date. Fast forward 4 months, and I have been incorrectly debited thrice, the latest for 3 TIMES my monthly installment. I have been on the phone with agents trying to sort this out since JUNE, all of whom 1) initially said that my relief application hadn''t been processed (despite me receiving written and telephonic communication of approval), 2) hastily apologized once I explained the former, and 3) went on to re-confirm a payment resumption date and amount. I also received written communication of this and apologies for the mistakes. And yet I still continued to receive collection calls. I then wrote a scathing review on Hello Peter a few days ago, which received a satisfactory response from the specialist case manager. I called her, and while she didn't seem to appreciate the urgency of my issue, eventually committed to overseeing its resolution personally within 48 hours. 48 hours later, my account is now with debt collectors. I cannot get over how *********** ABSA loans department is. I am seething and fuming, and will accept nothing less than an immediate apology and resolution from the highest levels.
