*********** ABSA ***** investigaters

I am so disappointed with ABSA ***** department investigators. Last year in Nov 2019 someone hacked into my absa acc using a number i was using at the time. This person according to my bank statement ported or did a sim swap to another network and used this number to get notification and buy numerous airtime and sending cash to the network he or she ported to. The said thing is this person is doing this for the third time and the second case was closed this monday on the 27th. This for me feels like an inside job. In their report they say the ***** was not due to their systems being compromised but my password and pin was used. At this time even now my app is not active i cant do any activity on this acc because the mobile app is blocked, the pin was changed, the mobile service was de-activated and activated. A different number was used for notification. But surprisingly the person entered the acc again for the 3rd time. So im very disappointed with the investigators and i feel that they didn't do a thourough job during the investigation nor put security measures in place. For the fact that this person is able to enter the acc for the third time within a space of 3months. This has been emotionally draining and exhausting. I really wish absa can solve this so that i can close this acc for good. I cant be paying for overdrafts that were cause by the *********.

Reviewer Update
My absa acc has been hacked for the 4th time by an unknown individual on the 10/02/2020 right after the 3rd case was closed. The investigator seem to be running away from this case when i called her at the branch. I called the ***** department and they said i must call the the invastigator who last handled my case. Now the acc has charges that are the result of this ***** activity. The investigators who attended to my case are singing the same song. No one explains exactly how this is happening in my acc and what are the measures placed in place to prevent this in the future. All I'm told is that the absa system and security were not compromised. How come this person is able to access my acc even though my internet and all other activities on my side are deregistered. I can't do anything on my side, I have no access to my acc. Now I'm facing charges in my acc above R1000 of which these are from the ***** activity. I'm so tired of this issue. I'm asking someone who knows how to deal with this matter to help me before I take this matter further to the Ombudsman.
