I was under debt review a couple years back and then I cancelled it as they never paid my accounts.<br> <br> So I mad arrangements with all the placed where I have debt to pay them off with a reasonable amount so that i can still survive and make end meet.<br> They all did contact me without me having to search for them as the debt review agency said I must cut up all my cards and through away all the statements as they will deal with everything.<br> <br> ABSA never contacted me, and then I send them numerous mails to make and arrangement with no reply, then the beginning of the year I phoned them and after speaking to a lot of people I finally made and arrangement to pay R100 towards my account which has almost doubled with all the interest that they added.<br> I them made a payment of R200 end of Jan and the R200 again on the 24th Feb and now I received a text message that i have been handed over to a legal firm.<br> <br> And now i have to pay R500 a month, and this after nobody from ABSA could even contact me to try and make arrangements and just keep adding interest. Now i am sitting with a account of R5500.00 which should actually be R2500.00<br> <br> This is unprofessional and not acceptable from ABSA
