IMPOSSIBLE TO GET CANCELLATION CESSION FROM ABSA WHICH I NEED TO CANCEL A POLICY AT OLD MUTUAL

Straggling for the past week to get assistance in obtaining a cancellation of cession letter for an Old Mutual policy that was taken out as security against my loan bond as from 1999 to cancel my policy at Old Mutual. Getting assitance from ABSA CALL CENTRE was already a challenge. Despite numerous follow ups over the last week, as well as having seen the employee's attempted communication with the relevant department my query is yet to be acknowledged, let alone dealt with. Any attempt to resolve or get relevant contact information via ABSA's call centre just turns into a frustrating experience of being sent from one department to another - not a single employee is willing or able to take responsibility and get this issue resolved, despite teliing them I've talked to whichever department theyr'e trying to pass the buck to.

THIS IS THE MESSAGE I GOT FROM OLD MUTUAL to cancel my policy on their side:

Dear Hendrik Thank you for your email regarding contract number ********** 4. Kindly be advised that we require a letter form ABSA indicating that the cession on the policy must be cancelled. The letter needs to reflect the Old Mutual policy number and the Security Code for the cession. If the bank does cannot provide the security code then they can complete the attached indemnity form in order to cancel the cession. Please fax all documents to ********** or email to ********** Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Communication Centre on ***should you require further assistance. If you seek financial advice and are currently not in contact with a financial adviser or broker, please call 0860 WISDOM (***) and we will gladly assist you. Kind Regards Service Centre Agent

Unfortunately no one on ABSA side can give me a security code or even fill the indemnity form in. This Old Mutual Policy is link to my ABSA bond.

I hope there is someone who can help me on this issue.

Regards

Dear Customer

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please can you advise if you have been to the branch to cancel as there are some forms that needs to be completed before we can send the cancellation to credit, this information can be sent via private message.
