Impossible to close on Absa cheque account

Am trying to close my absa cheque account for two weeks now unsuccessfully. First I tried to call and the security check questions were impossible to get right. No authosization on the App. Then I went to branch and was referred to a teller bank, cause the one I went to was a teller less branch. Went to the teller bank they logged my request told me I should wait for an SMS and a call from Absa. Spent the whole week answering calls from robot callers and spam callers. I missed the awaited call while in a meeting. Tried contact the teller that assisted me Leonard fro Absa in West Rand mall. No answer. Now am stuck not sure I should be starting the process from scratch.
