Ill treatment from ABSA Bank
Good Day,
I am writing in regards to ABSA Bank charges on my Current Account where by I was charged R3150 on bounced debit orders. I had sent the bank a company letter I had received a day before my pay day stating that we won't be getting our salaries on the 25th due to the UIF haven't been approved nor paid.
I sent them the letter to ask them to reverse the charges they had charged me due to all my debit orders bouncing because of insufficient funds in my account as I had not been paid but the BANK told me that they won't be reversing because if they do, every ABSA client would want the same therefor they would only give me R600 back as a good gesture which I refused.
Covid-19 has affected everyone but for them they made it like it was my fault that the debit orders include my personal loan with them had bounced. I've been an ABSA Bank client since 2013 and I have had any issue with them and now that the whole country is in crisis, they taking me for a fool.
If they can not assist me with this matter, I might as well take my business else where because clearly I am not important to them and so as the business I give them. This is the reference number I was given : C-***0 and the consultant who handled my matter was Kingsley Lenake-Marishane in the Group Customer Care Action Line
I thank you for your reply. I will await further communication from you
