I thought that this was a radio prank.

I have received this email from ABSA:

Met verwysing na ‘n bo-genoemde eis, is dit onder ons aandag gebring dat van die pype op u perseel verweer is, en voorkomende onderhoud moet dus plaasvind om verdere pypeise uit te s***el.

Water pipes • We will compensate you for: • the repair or replacement of a section of a burst or leaking water pipe. Failure of water pipes must have occurred suddenly and the failure point must be detected using conventional equipment and methods by an approved and qualified service provider; • concealed water pipes - failures that are due to rust, corrosion, gradual deterioration or wear and tear will be repaired on the first occasion only. The policy will thereafter be endorsed to exclude water pipe failures from that water pipe which has evidence of rust, corrosion, gradual deterioration or wear and tear until it has been repaired or replaced. Proof of repairs or replacement by a qualified/registered plumber must be submitted to us;

The same plumber, appointed by ABSA was paid R4000 on the same day, in my private capacity, to remove and replace all suspect pipes. This was done to the “ABSA appointed” service provider’s standard.

Now I get a call a Bongani from ABSA stating that any water leaks, associated with their “ABSA appointed” service provider; any work is done in my ”private appointed capacity to this plumber”, will not be covered in the future and will be between me and the “ABSA appointed” service provider.

Is this a joke? You can not be serious?
