I live in Ireland, I have an ABSA account in South Africa, my friend was supposed to have signing rights on the account, and we set it up a few years back when I was in SA. My card needs to be renewed. She can’t do it since she suddenly doesn’t have authority on my account anymore. We have been paying money into my account since January, and we’re being told now that my account is dormant and has been dormant since last year. We can’t access the account at all to take the money out. How is it possible that we could pay money into a dormant account. This is unacceptable, I need access to my account ASAP
