I don't know...

I'm a pensioner. I visited Absa bank in Port Shepstone this morning. My complaint was that I transferred money electronically from my cheque account to my investment advance account. I was charged over R700 for the transaction - VAT was also charged.

I waited in the queue for an hour. When I was looking for a bathroom, they said that they don't cater for customers. When I eventually got to the information desk, the person said she doesn't know the rules of the investment advance account.

She asked the only other person at the information desk, who said she doesn't know the rules either.

I was referred to a consultant, and the lady at the reception desk (Bongi) said I should ask for Phiwe since the other consultants are new and won't be able to help me.

As there was a long queue at the consultants - and only 1 of them could possibly assist me - I left, as I still needed a bath room.

I think this is schocking service which deserves that I close my accounts and move on to Capitec Bank.
