How will I drive to work if you won't let me know if I can get vehicle finance?

<p>I have been an ABSA client for more than 10 years. I've had credit cards which were paid of, loans that were repaid sooner than expected and multiple savings accounts over the years. For the first time I am purchasing my own vehicle and although I could choose to do financing somewhere else I chose to do it through ABSA. This was last week Wednesday. Since then there were calls and emails back and forth (although they never answer the phone when I call) and evenutually I was told on Friday morning that there is a backlog with Assessments but I will have an answer by Friday afternoon. No answer. Today they phone to ask that they can't find where my salary was paid in on my bank statement. I opened the statement, copied the line and sent it to them (so I don't understand why they couldn't see it) I have just been notified that the car was sold to someone else who received their financing in 48 hours from a different bank. Although I was given first option to buy the car, ABSA was delaying the entire process for everyone and they had to give it to someone else. I will be closing my savings accounts and once my credit card is paid off, I will be leaving ABSA for good as this is not the service I am expecting from my bank. At least let me know if it's approved or declined, don't take so long for feedback!</p>
