How long to approve/decline a loan done via IB?

Been waiting for over a week for loan already pre-approved on Internet banking and submitted supporting documents to get a response? do you want to give me or not because my time is being wasted here. Call Centre is useless as the only thing i am told is that its still under some assessor which they cant give me direct contacts to. A week to finalize a R40k loan application? Really? I need the money urgently and if Absa is not giving me the loan they must provide speedy feedback so i can go next door, in time to finish my project.
