HOW LONG DOES AN APPLICATION TAKE!!!

I have app**** for a credit card in December 2015 for the first time. I have sent all my documents through the same day as application. After 4 weeks I still have not received any response from them. I have to phone every time and every time they tell me we still need documentation and stuff.<br> In January a consultant contacted me to say they still need my ID copy to finalise the application. I told him I want to cancel it because it has been taking way too long for my liking.<br> I decided to apply again 2 weeks ago. I spoke to a consultant and she told me that she would open my previous application and use my personal particulars, so I won't have to do all that stuff again. I, again, sent through all the required documents the same day. Everytime I follow up, but nothing. Friday I was told, after a week that my proof of address was sent, that they still need proof of address????? OMG what is going on there. I was told application would take 5-9 days, clearly that time period has already expired. Someone please sort this mess out!
