House insurance

We had an attempted break-in on 12 November. I contacted Absa and was put in contact with a contractor to repair the sliding door. I told them it was urgent as I have very important documents on the premises and I received a very rude response. They fixed the door and the door didn't open on the Monday and the glass was badly scratched. They attempted to fix the door but did not have anything with them and kept on going to the shops. I told them that I had other appointments and I asked them to leave the premises. They came back onto the premises when my garden service came in. That's ******* entering WITHOUT PERMISSION. They made a bigger mess and scratched the door frame and glass. I phoned and lodged a complaint and received a phone call asking why I complained. The owner of the contract company came out and wanted to replace the glass with clear glass. He replaced it with glass with a blue film full of bubbles. I have a bronze tinting on my door. He told me that the blue film will go bronze with exposure to the sun. He feels that I should accept the blue film glass and the scratched frame. He would organize for someone from ABSA to come out and see me. I am still waiting.
