HORRIBLE Toilette humor, if only it was funny...

18 October 2017

--Claim logged ********** for cracked / broken toilette --Plumber came out and assessed damage to toilette --Apparently the same toilette will need to be ordered and it will only be replaced in 2 weeks’ time (just on this note 2 weeks’ is pretty long without a fully functional toilette! I had to make use of ducktape and buckets!)

1 November 2017

--Replaced Toilette, however not the same toilette, big gaps around the toilette as the new one is much smaller than the old one. --Plumber told me not to worry about phoning the bank (ABSA) as they will contact me regarding a tiler/builder.

9 November 2017 --No call from the bank yet, I’ve phoned the bank --ABSA appointing Builder for claim

22 Nov November 2017 --No call from the bank yet or builder, I’ve phoned the bank --It seems the contractor/builder declined ? No call to me from the bank regarding this?? --It seems the bank (ABSA) has my property for which I have a home loan, and claim listed as in Johannesburg instead of Cape Town? Or so I’ve been told in my call placed to ABSA @ 14:30 on 22 Nov. 17 --This was the reason why the builder appointed declined? --New builder appointed.

Reviewer Update
Just an update on this; below an e-mail regarding the CASE with Absa - please note the reference to water pipe but actual work to be performed was by a builder to replace tiles: I would like to note this on record that the water pipe was "fixed" ; preferably I would like to have the work done inspected by a professional e.g. plumber - as if I ever have any issues, water leaks, damages or cost e.g. additional water cost resulting of this incident I will reference back to this e-mail and won't accept liability thereof. Pictures attached for reference: Work started around 9am, 6 December 2017: 1.jpg - , old tiles removed Work almost complete 2pm, 6 December 2017: 2a.jpg - whilst drilling into the tiles a water pipe was damaged 2b.jpg - hole marked with red arrow and water squirting out 3.jpg - Bathroom flooding - took about 10minutes to close the water ( at geyser) 4a.jpg - Picture of Copper water pipe, bottom pipe has a hole drilled into it, top pipe was damaged with removal of new/old tiles 4b.jpg - Same picture as 4a.jpg different angle - 2 damaged copper water pipes (one has hole drilled into it and other hit with a hammer or something similar) around 6pm, 6 December 2017: 5.jpg - Picture of the polycorp "fix" - not sure if a qualified plumber fixed, inspected or tested this. New tiles re-fitted almost immediately. around 7:30pm, 6 December 2017: Builders left As mentioned I would like to note the above incident as if I ever have any issues, water leaks, damages or cost e.g. additional water cost resulting of this incident I will reference back to this e-mail and won't accept liability thereof.
