Horrible service by homeloan division and its legal department.
Absolutely disgusting service by the ABSA homeloans department and its legal department I restructured my homeloan agreement with the new debit order being set to start in March, little did I know the horror show that was about to begin.
I was assisted by Dumisane Ndaba (***ca) who I signed and sent the agreement to. In March, the newly agreed debit order amount did not go off as agreed, instead it was the old amount that went off. Dumisane then stated I should pay the difference, and he will sort out this error. I duly did that and also notified him that a 2nd debit order of a different amount bounced, meaning there are now 2 debit orders running on the homeloan. He agreed to that he will rectify this.
April comes and the same thing as in March happens, and again I email Dumisane who again asks me to pay the difference. Again I do that and ask that he resolve this matter. He then stops responding to my emails, and did not capture that I had paid the difference for April, nor did he remove the 2nd debit order on the system. On the 10th of April I call through to their homeloans department and the lady states she can see what I am saying and she will escalate the matter to legal to rectify. She then provides me with her team leader's email and says I can even email her team leader. I then forward all the correspondence I have been having with Dumisane to this team leader, Roche Strauss (***ia). This so called team leader has to date not bothered to acknowledge my emails nor even call me. I called again in May, and was told that they are doing another escalation, again no one has bothered to call or email me to rectify my issue. My homeloan now shows as in arrears due to the the incompetence of someone who made an multiple errors and refuses to fix them and a team leader who lacks any sort of urgency nor accountability.
To add to all this, this 2nd debit order loaded by Dumisane keeps bouncing, affecting my bank fees and my credit record. Secondly, the amount he loaded is not what I signed on agreement, nor is it the amount loaded on online banking so where did he get if from? Why is he no longer responding along with this team leader? Are they gonna ask me to pay the difference again for May? Even that won't sort out the arrears that Dumisane failed to rectify for April. At this point I just have a sour taste and do not see myself continuing the relationship with the bank past this year.
