********** Service

Everytime I go into the Horison branch I end up wasting hours of my life. Even for something simple like getting statements stamped I have to wait an hour.

Recently I received a letter saying that I needed to Rica my account within 30 days or my account would be frozen. I received the letter 2 or 3 days before the deadline! I don' know why they didn't send me an email as well. I went into the Rosebank brank on the following day to resolve this. I was told it was sorted but then my account was frozen. I went into Horison. That visit was 3 hours of waiting. The consultant asked the branch manager to do something but instead of resolving the issue I saw her helping other people. Later that day I received a call to say that I needed to come into the branch again to complete the same form I had just completed!

I app**** for a secondary credit card for my wife. I received an email saying that I should go into the branch to collect it. I did so but there was no card & there was no record of my application! I spent ages trying to sort it out but I was told to re-apply. I finally went in today to re-apply. After about 15 mins waiting a customer services lady asked me what I was there for & took me to a consultant. She spoke to the consultant & told me I had to go back to customer services. After a very long wait I finally got served. They phone Absa card services because they think they can't do it in the branch. I get handed the phone & I am told that they need to do it in branch. I then get told to see the consultant, but the consultant previously said I needed to go to customer services! There is a queue for the consultants & I gave up waiting after a while. I had been there over an hour & had not seen anyone about the application.

My next visit to a bank will be to FNB to open a new account!
