Home Loan application dragging forever

We have submitted a home loan application to ABSA in March already. They took 5 working days to provide an offer whilst the other banks responded within 1 day. All documentation were submitted and attorneys appointed. The fees associated with the attorneys were paid and building plans submitted to ABSA.

Each time we had to wait MORE the 5 working days (that's a whole week) for ABSA to respond. When I follow up early this week with the call centre I've been informed that my application (thats after the final grant was approved) was placed in Hold with no reason as to why. I am contacting ABSA everyday and no one can give me an answer. Here we are again waiting for another 5 working days for a reply. No one can give an answer or explanation as to what is going on.

One would think that when it comes to a sale the FSP would be eager to assist and finalize the transaction asap but no not ABSA. Cleary their processes are not working and customers are not treated fairly. Do you guys even have a process in place and what is your TAT (Turn around time).

Yesterday when i follow up I've been informed that my request will be escalated to be prioritized. Prioritized after a week of just sitting there?
