Home loan application declined

I have been banking with absa since I was 16 years old, I have known this bank all my live and had account with only this bank, my vehicle is even financed through this bank. I went to the absa branch 2months ago when I decided it was time I invested in a property. I asked for all the relevant information I needed before submiting the application. Firstly I asked to do a pre-approval which I did not get, I asked them to assist me in knowing how much I qualify for on the home loan and I was told to calculated by myself online. As a customer I did what I was told then based on the absa calculator online it showed that I qua**** for a certain amount. Once I decided on the property I wanted I submited my home loan. then BOOM my application was denied, I am a first time buyer, I dont have bad credit score Im doing okay for myself but Absa declined my application and told me I need to put in 20% of the deposit before they can approve my loan! meanwhile another bank is willing to approve me for 95%.!!!! What does the other bank see that Absa failed to see meanwhile Ive been banking with them forever?

I will definetely be moving banks and changing because Absa is simple just not for people like me.

Dear Claudette,

I still have no feedback whatsoever after I send you my email or asked for your direct telephone line. Which tells me that absa really doesnt care about their clients. Hence I should change banks.
