Home Affairs call centre more efficient than yours (and sneaky fees part 2)

Round circle trips at their call-centre, general enquiries telling me to speak to someone at lending, and lending telling me to speak to someone at General Enquiries, and this is is connection to fees being charged. Half an hour to get through to the right person, to follow up on a previously logged complaint, This is just not on. When I phoned last week Wednesday, I was told that a supervisor would get back to me. I'm still waiting. In short, this complaint arises from the fact that ATM Cash Withdrawal fee rules changed without any notifications, even the website didn't reflect this (last week Wednesday when I logged the complaint). I feel I should be refunded for the exorbitant charges that ABSA levied on my account.

Dear Firoz

Thank you for bringing this unfortunate matter to my attention and please accept my sincere apology. I will review and provide you with my specific contact details as well as your unique complaint reference number, and an expected timeframe for further feedback via email or making contact with you telephonically within the next hour .

I look forward to being of service to you

I must say I received wonderful service from a very friendly Mr Sha from the Lakeside mall branch.
He called me on Friday afternoon, and said he would sort everything out on Monday, which he dutifully did.
He even gave me tips on how to minimise my bank charges in future - that is service!
Unfortunately your call center needs further training in efficiency and your complaints department needs to just do their job on time.
