Highly Angered by the service from Absa
I would just like to voice out my disappointment and ANGER at Absa. I app**** for a premium cheque account with them online in April . Someone called to activate my account after all the required documents were forwarded to them not once. On Thursday 09.05.2019 my employer deposited funds in that account however I don't have access to them because my profile is locked. I went to the branch in Marshalltown cnr Main and Harrison where I was told to get all the documents again and start up a new application as if I did not apply because of Fica. I then sent my documents to ********** and to date I have not received a call from them. This morning I was on a call for over an hour whereby I called to find out what was happening since I needed to use the funds in that account however I was not assisted. I called the premium banking department where Tsholofelo answered the call and asked me to hold so that she can find out from the Fica department but I held on the line for 20 minutes with no help. I called again and spoke to Mahlatse who requested me to hold so that he can speak to Tsholofelo but I also held on the line for close to 20 minutes as well. When I called the 3rd time I spoke to Angi who also asked me to hold for 17 minutes to find out from Fica but no assistance was provided. When I called back so furious with the kind of service I called as I need to get this resolved Angi answered the phone and advised me that the bankers will call me. The question I asked was why didn't anyone give me a call especially after I advised her of the experience I was getting from resolving this issue , she just apologized. I asked for the supervisors name and surname and she advised that she sits in Auckland park by the name of Alpha Ngwenya. After waiting to be transferred to her I held again for 10 minutes up until I hung up. Is this the service that one gets for opening up a new account?
