High admin fees by Absa

I have an Absa client for more than 15 years.i had a cheque of which over the admin fees escalated tremendously over the years became to economical unaffordable.i therefore moved to a different bank with cheaper admin fees since August 2025. The absa cheque account is still open and has never been used since August 2025. The admin fees on the account accumulated to R850. I have a few instances phoned absa for closing of the account.They want there admin fees prior to closing to account. The wish the fees to be waived as I am not using the account and the account be closed.the fees accumulates monthly.
