Has ABSA ****** my ****'s provident fund?
In 1995 I started a provident fund for our ****. At some stage it was taken over by ABSA Small Business Provident Fund. In 2016 I was informed that contributions would cease as she turned 70. My **** now wishes to retire and to cash in her fund. The last statement I received was 1 May 2016, Despite several emails and phone calls to various ABSA call centres I have been unable to obtain a statement or advice on how to cash in the policy and what to do with the proceeds. In desperation I asked a professional financial services advisors for assistance. Their attempts were unsuccessful because they were not "appointed brokers".
