Harassed By ABSA Vehicle & Asset Collections Agent
I am currently being harassed and threatened by ABSA collections dept. I have missed 2 car installments and not 3 as per the NCR act, however Im being intimidated, bul**** and threatened that my car will be repossessed despite trying to make payment arrangements. I made contact with the Agent Ruan Kapp once I received an SMS notification about my missed installments. In my first correspondence / communication with this agent on 09/03/2018 I advised him that I will settle the full overdue amount by latest 21.03.2018. However he threatened that the car will be repossessed if I did not pay R3000 within the next 3 days so I tried to arrange the funds from my investment account. Unfortunately the investment account will only pay out by this Saturday 17.03.18. So I did contact him to notify him of this, however he is still trying to intimidate and harass me to make payment by today - saying that I must borrow the money from someone. This is violation of my civil rights and unacceptable from an organization such as ABSA. If you look at my payment history in comparison to these 2 missed payments, there have been no other defaults on my payments and all my payments have been made on time for the past 4 and half years, so to harass a good customer in this manner is very poor customer service and does not uphold the key principles of ABSA - respect / integrity/service. I am very disappointed with the treatment I have received.
